    that irc server is not connectable on that port.

    I get the same thing:
    $ nc campaignhqbbs.us 6667
    campaignhqbbs.us [108.91.36.159] 6667 (ircd) : Connection refused

    Looks like a firewall issue or port mapping if the ircd is, in fact,
    listening on port 6667. OP never posted anything to show that it was.

    Looks like a firewall issue or port mapping if the ircd is, in fact, listening on port 6667. OP never posted anything to show that it was.

    I had a firewall, semi-semi-configured. I had it going to the wrong machine. --- Synchronet 3.20a-Linux NewsLink 1.113
